Everyone likes a freebie right? Well to show that its the season of goodwill I have teamed up with Sew Mama Sew for their great give away day (which lasts all week) and created this cute kids Fairy Tale Messenger Bag. It has a long handle to carry across body, an internal pocket to pop all those little essentials in, a magnetic stud fastening and best of all - your little one gets to colour it in!
The outer shell fabric and internal pocket has cute pictures that can be coloured in using fabric pens, the lining is creamy white cotton fabric.
The handle has trigger clasps so that it can be removed whilst your little one gets busy colouring in!
Eva couldn't wait to get started on hers!
This is the actual bag and pens that will be mailed to you if chosen as the winner!
To win one of these cute bags all you have to do is leave a comment stating what your little one likes to carry around with them. For Eva its her Disney Rabbit Comforter that she's had since the day she was born. Included with the bag will be a pack of fabric pens so the winner can get right to work as soon as their parcel arrives. Please note that the fabric pens will stain clothing so please protect surfaces and clothing. Adult supervision is advised. Also the bag will need to be pressed with a hot iron to set the colours.
This competition is open internationally, the winner will be chosen by the best comment. Competition opens December 9th and closes at midnight on the 13th of December GMT for UK entrants, 5pm 13th of December PST for international entrants. Winner will be announced in the comments box so please check back to see if its you!!
To enter more great competitions follow the link Sew Mama Sew
This contest is now closed, congrats to the winner Lauren Deel. If anyone who commented below is from the UK the same contest is running on my facebook page here

ReplyDeleteMy daughter is almost two and she loooves to carry around her favorite stuffed animal, Mao Mao Kitty--with Mao Mao Kitty would be a pacifier just in case the one she refuses to take out of her mouth escapes some how, and a chunky bead necklace ("pretties" she calls them) annnnd she'd probably smuggle some fruit snacks or yogurt in there too. haha. :)
ReplyDeleteMy nephew has to have his cars with him

Is it wrong to say that I would actually like this bag for myself? I work with children and I know they would love decorating this bag for me and would be so proud to see me walking around the corridors with their artwork by my side.
ReplyDeleteInside I would keep all my necessary items: band-aids, tissues, pens, notebook, hand puppet, stickers, prizes and magic fairy dust!
None of my kids have ever had a security item! My toddler does love her dolls, and carries around a cheap blanket made of single-knit fabric that she found at a garage sale with her babies.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a little one myself, but my auntie has two cute girls. And it's all about dolls and colouring books, so for the latter this would be such an awesome bag!

DD likes to pick up leaves, stones, bits of rope....... often these are imagined as something else and more often than not end up being dipped in a puddle

My little ones love to carry around their favourite soft toy as well as pens, markers and notepads for writing and drawing. :)
ReplyDeleteCuuute! My five year old would love this, and I haven't made her a new bag for starting school, so this might be the perfect solution. Lala has two bears called Hector and Horrace that she carries around most days, but if she is in full Mama mode (like today, she took with her to the mall - Baby+blanket, handbag with coin purse, old cell phone, and a couple of paper cocktail umbrellas - y'know typical Mama stuff (which all ended up in my big bag when she got tired of lugging it I might add). Thank you for the opportunity!

ReplyDeleteWell, I thought that making my 2-year old a messenger bag would make him want to carry around his own stuff... But unfortunately he still loves to be carried around himself sometimes... Think that it'll change, currently I try to pack the bag for him (fruit, bottle of water, tiny books, tiny car) to keep him busy during longer trips, restaurant visits etc. But no way he'll carry the bag himself, lazy bum he is. ;)
ReplyDeleteOMG this would be THE BEST gift for my niece Rebecca - she would be so good at colouring it in!!! Fab giveaway!

ReplyDeleteMy 9 year old daughter would love this to carry her favourite bunny
ReplyDeleteMy 4yo would be so psyched to get this! My littlest (who is 1) carries a cloth diaper (never used on the actual rear, mind you). They are his comfort item, and luckily can be exchanged whenever with clean ones, they are interchangeable. When he gets his hand on the cloth diaper, bam -- the thumb goes in the mouth. He's my third, so I'm more indulgent about such things and I think it's pretty cute. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteMy littles love to carry drawing pads and crayons...to have a bag that they can also color ON would be perfect for my budding artists!

ReplyDeleteWhat doesn't my child care around?! Lego, wooden toys, open markers, coins, jewels, tiny ripped up pieces of Kleenex ( I hope it's not used!) my "missing" bank cards, play food, real food ( so THaTS what I smell!) dollies and more bags just in case. All of this in a shopping bag- this small one you have made looks so much nicer! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo adorable!!!! My son loves to carry around a basket full of superheroes everywhere he goes, and my daughter is more of a journal and art supplies person. Thanks for the great giveaway, and happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteMy three year old has a constantly rotating selection of "stuff" in her backpack, which MUST be with her at all times. Like, if she leaves the table to go to the bathroom, first she must put on her backpack. There are always books in there (sometimes it's all books, but then I sneakily remove some, otherwise it's too heavy and great sadness results). And always a "baby" or two--currently Snowman and Gingerbread Man. And usually a few little toys and pieces of clothing. and then the rest of the space is jammed (and I do mean jammed; it's often hard to close, it's so full) with anything that catches her eye. So every so often I investigate it and frequently find things that we've been wondering where they disappeared to...

(I keep the sharp stuff out of her reach!). I don't want to discourage her interest in sewing, so I don't object. But it would be great to give her a bag to keep it all in.
